My career spans fifteen years, during which time I’ve been immersed in the bustling publishing scenes of London and Berlin, a thriving artistic community in the Highlands of Scotland and a busy literary agency in Edinburgh. I’ve worked in-house for leading global publishers like HarperCollins, Penguin Random House and Hachette, with award-winning authors like David Mitchell, Lucy Mangan, Cathy Newman and Melvyn Bragg. Most recently I was Managing Editor at Profile Books.

These days I’m a freelance writer and editor, and I spend my time sprucing manuscripts and crafting marketing blurbs, web copy and social media content, as well as long-form articles, blogs and cultural commentary for online and print publications. I’m also an emerging translator from German to English, and have gained award nominations, a prestigious mentorship and online publication.
